There are two main ways to wrap a sandwich to keep it fresh and contained:

Method 1: Parchment Paper

  1. Prepare your sandwich: Make your sandwich on your favorite bread with your preferred fillings.
  2. Folding the sides:Fold one long side of the parchment paper over the sandwich filling, then fold the opposite side over the first fold to create a double layer.
  3. Folding the ends:Fold one end of the parchment paper flap down to meet the sandwich. Tuck the corner of the flap underneath the sandwich. Repeat this fold and tuck on the other end of the sandwich.
  4. Optional security fold (for taller sandwiches): For taller sandwiches, you can add an extra layer of security by folding down the top of the parchment paper (the unfolded section) to meet the sandwich. Then, fold the top corners down over the folded top section and tuck them under the sandwich.
  5. Method 2: Wax Paper
  6. Prepare your sandwich: Similar to the parchment paper method, make your sandwich and lay it flat.
  7. Centering the sandwich: Place the sandwich in the center of a square sheet of wax paper.
  8. Bringing up the ends: Bring up two opposite ends of the wax paper over the sandwich filling to meet in the middle. Press down gently to secure them.
  9. Folding down the sides:Fold the remaining two sides of the wax paper down over the sandwich, one at a time, tucking the corners underneath the sandwich to secure them.
  10. Tips:
  11. Use fresh, pliable bread to prevent tearing when wrapping.
  12. If your sandwich filling is wet or juicy, consider using parchment paper as it provides a more secure wrap than wax paper.
  13. You can also use a combination of both methods, wrapping the sandwich in parchment paper first, then securing it with a layer of wax paper for extra security.
  14. For a more decorative touch, you can cut the parchment paper into a round shape before wrapping the sandwich.
  15. You can secure the wrapped sandwich with a piece of tape or a decorative toothpick, but this is not necessary.
  16. No matter which method you choose, wrapping your sandwich will help to keep it fresh and prevent the bread from getting soggy
